This horse looks like a goddamn rock star

Yeah, so this actually happened. I put a lot of flower on a horse. Definitely the highlight of my week.

I was asked by The Rising Tide Society's Ottawa chapter to do the floral designs for a styled shoot they were putting together. 33 creative entrepreneurs got together and created a "Southern Bridal Brunch" designed to showcase everyone's unique talents in one cohesive photo shoot to be shared by all involved in a collaborative portfolio project. Problem was that I was only asked just a few days before the shoot. With fingers crossed, I went to my wholesaler to see if they had any of the feature colours for the shoot in stock that day. Lo and behold, they had absolutely everything I needed.

Bringing back a million roses to my apartment always makes me happy. Two days of prepping and pruning flowers while watching webinars and food documentaries was absolute bliss! And to add to the amazing series of fortunate events, one of my former brides, Stephanie, had reached out to me right at the same time to see if I needed any help with weddings or shoots this year. Talk about timing!

So Stephanie and I met for breakfast, talked about boys and flowers and weddings, picked up all the flowers for the shoot, and off we went to this beautiful little farm called Tranquility Acres where we had the pleasure of meeting a couple dozen kick-ass entrepreneurs who were ready to spend the day in the cold weather making beautiful images together. It was LOADS of fun and we had models, 3 different table designs, calligraphy, jewelry, gowns, props, everything! I'll show you more as the professional images start coming in, but I couldn't resist sharing these right off the bat. This was definitely the highlight of the shoot for me.

Side note: I really want to go as platinum as the horse... she looks like a goddamn rock star.
